What these figures are

Each figure is the median gross annual pay of full-time employees, year to April 2025, provisional for the occupation group the job belongs to, as published by Office for National Statistics. The median is the pay that half the people in the group earn more than and half less. In euros at the European Central Bank rate of 2 October 2026, 1 € = 0.85 GBP.

The United Kingdom quotes pay by the year, and so do these figures. The comparison on each job's page divides them by twelve. The UK classifies jobs its own way (SOC 2020), matched to ours, and where its group is only close, the job's page says so.

Hiring EU workers for the United Kingdom? Since 2021 they need a visa to work there, and the main work visa sets a minimum salary of its own. These figures describe what people in the job earn there.
