What these figures are

Each figure is the median gross monthly pay of full-time employees on 31 December 2025, including holiday and Christmas pay, from social insurance returns for the occupation group the job belongs to, as published by Federal Employment Agency. The median is the pay that half the people in the group earn more than and half less.

Germany's figures are not a survey. They come from the social insurance returns of every employer and include holiday and Christmas pay. Germany classifies jobs its own way (KldB 2010), and each of our jobs is matched to the German group that the Federal Employment Agency's own list of job titles gives it.

Sending workers to Germany? A posted worker must be paid at least what local law or the sector's collective agreement sets there. These figures describe what people in the job earn, not that minimum.
